Our Easter range is here. From traditional hot cross buns to chocolate brownies and simnel cake, here is everything you need for the long weekend.
Easter is one of our favourite times of year at Wedges. The bakery fills with the warm spice of hot cross buns, the shop counters are stacked with chocolate treats, and the whole team gets excited about the seasonal specials.
Our Hot Cross Buns
We bake our hot cross buns fresh every day throughout the Easter season. They are soft, spiced with cinnamon and mixed spice, and packed with juicy sultanas and mixed peel. The glaze gives them that beautiful shine and slight stickiness that makes them irresistible.
We keep it traditional — no chocolate chip versions or trendy flavour twists. Just a proper hot cross bun the way it should be made. Toast it, butter it, and enjoy it with a cup of tea.

The Easter Range
Beyond the hot cross buns, we have put together a range of Easter treats that are perfect for the long weekend:
- Mini eggs rocky road — loaded with chocolate, marshmallow, and Cadbury mini eggs
- Easter biscuits — lightly spiced with currants, hand-decorated
- Simnel cake — a traditional fruit cake with marzipan, made to our own recipe
- Chocolate brownies — rich, fudgy, and topped with Easter decorations
- Lamb-shaped shortbread — hand-iced and perfect as a gift
Easter Opening Hours
We will be open throughout the Easter weekend with slightly adjusted hours. Good Friday and Easter Saturday will be normal hours. Easter Sunday and Easter Monday we will open a little later — check our contact page or social media for the exact times closer to the date.
If you are planning a gathering over the long weekend, remember that we also do platters and catering. Give us a ring at least two days in advance and we will sort you out.
